Pagebrook Farm is located four miles from the picturesque village of Millwood, near the town of
Boyce, in Clarke County Virginia. Much of the surrounding countryside, including Pagebrook, is under conservation easement and is open to the Blue Ridge Hunt. The farm is in a convenient location within the county, just 15 minutes to Winchester and Interstate 81 (with easy access
to the entire East Coast), and approximately 25 minutes to Upperville and Middleburg.
We offer field board in a quiet setting on 210 acres. Our farm is ideal for light trail riding, weanlings and yearlings, and retirement. We have rotational paddocks throughout, which allows for ample grass for most of the year. They are a wonderful environment for horses, with gently rolling pastures, woodland, and mature trees for natural shade.
At Pagebrook Farm your horses are our number one priority. We monitor them daily by conducting physical checks at least three times a day. In addition, the paddocks have live video monitoring for additional observation.
We love spending time handling and caring for your horse to ensure that they are happy and healthy. To provide the best care for your animal, we limit the number of horses on the property. Weekly photos and check-ins are provided via text to make sure our clients are receiving the latest information.
Our farm is our hobby and we want our clients and their horses to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere in Clarke County.
Please contact us with any questions. We look forward to discussing the particulars of your horse.

Pagebrook is one of the oldest and most historic farms in Clarke County. Founded by John Page (1760-1838) of Hanover County before the close of the American Revolution, the land itself was
part of a vast tract of more than 50,000 acres surveyed in 1730 by his maternal grandfather, Robert Carter, land agent for Lord Fairfax. After marrying Maria Byrd of Westover in 1784, Page settled permanently on his Shenandoah Valley holdings. He and his brothers Robert and Matthew were amongst the largest landowners in the county, each having inherited more than 2,000 acres.
The main house at Pagebrook deteriorated and was pulled down in the early part of this century, but the house built for Matthew Page at “Annfield” survives and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Pagebrook was sold out of the family in 1900, but remained well known in the county for horse trials and events. The orginial land was subsequently divided; the 210 acres of Pagebrook Farm is the last fragment of John Page’s 2,258-acre tract to retain the name.
